Gay Atlanta’s queens of do-good drag brought the sunshine to a cloudy afternoon on Saturday when Heretic hosted the triumphant return of Armorettes Easter Drag Races.
As they promised Project Q last week, the first post-pandemic Easter shenanigans held carnival games and daydrinking, a bonnet contest and gay boys at every turn. Our photos in the gallery below can attest.
The event namesake drag troupe Armorettes kept it lively with host Misti Shores and members of current and veteran casts. Positive Impact offered PrEP info, and Joining Hearts passed its Easter Basket for donations. Even a guy dressed as Jesus was there.
The party continued inside as the sun went down with an Armorettes benefit show. A special edition of the Blackout Friday dance party kept the party going well past midnight. With barely any rest, Heretic hosts Atlanta Bear Pride this weekend with co-sponsors Future and Woofs.
