Photos: Aquarium kicks off Pride in ‘Legendary’ style

Georgia Aquarium put some twists on its Pride bash on Friday, and more than 2,500 partygoers enjoyed the outcome.

Per the venue’s tried-and-true party formula, three DJs did their thing for both the general admission and the LGBTQ-VIP Lounge crowds. Likewise, cocktail bars, people showing their Pride, photo ops and sea life sight-seeing were on tap. Then the festivities took a “Legendary” turn for 2021.

With no Atlanta Pride pre-party, the Oceans Ballroom got its ante upped this year. A rotating stage there hosted performance by the House of Balenciaga, the queer ballroom family seen most recently in Season 2 of the HBO reality series “Legendary” (top photo).

Stepping up to make the party magical despite obstacles, the event adapted and soared. The success is clear in our photo gallery below.
