Buttery sweet drag queen inspiration Paula Deen is back, once again trying to lean on the gays to make you like her. She fails – again – and along the way disses gay NFL prospect Michael Sam.
The Southern food queen from Savannah is not particularly gifted with the words when it comes to discussing the gays or black folks. Combine the two and Deen gives you this:
I feel like “embattled” or “disgraced” will always follow my name. It's like that black football player who recently came out. He said, “I just want to be known as a football player. I don't want to be known as a gay football player.” I know exactly what he's saying.
OK, Paula. Talking about “that black football player” is a little bit racist. Implying that he'll forever be “disgraced” and “embattled” for being a black gay football player is even worse.
It's like that time you talked about how you love everyone, despite their “sexual preference.” Or wanting a pass thanks to gay marriage (not hers).
