FIND MORE EVENTS | The best gay things to do in Atlanta this weekend

The LGBT-ATL turns it out all year, but Joining Hearts 25 puts the gay dancing queen agenda on steroids this weekend. Brace and pace yourself for a gay DJ invasion each night surrounding Atlanta’s biggest summer pool party.

That sound you hear getting louder is the buzz over the 25th annual Joining Hearts on Saturday. But that’s nothing compared to the personal buzz you could start feeding with cocktails as early as Friday that might not end until well after dark on Sunday.

You read that right. Joining Hearts is way more than you and a thousand of your closest shirtless friends (photo, view more) in Piedmont Park on Saturday. It’s kickoffs, afterparties and tea dances, too.

So be careful, girl. Sipping and twirling can turn to tripping and swirling out before you know it. Not cute. Trust: You’ll be tempted to keep up with countless, experienced sexy hunks in attendance.

Drink lots of water

Take disco naps.

For god’s sake eat

Designate a driver

And you know, generally know when to say when, silly.

Emblazon that advice on your brain before you delve into the pre- and post-parties below. We want all of you back next week to see the photo evidence of debauchery set to the beat of some of the best of the world’s most wildly popular gay DJs. All of the events spell big cash — think six figures each year — for beneficiaries AID Atlanta and Jerusalem House.
