Edie Cheezburger and a troupe of drag queens teased fans and unveiled a new space at Jungle with an energetic preview of what they hope will become a staple of Friday nightlife.

Cheezburger (top photo) pulled together a cast of new queens and names you probably already know for fresh, inventive drag to kick off The Other Show. It previewed last Friday and settles into a weekly gig on Nov. 23.

The show also provided a preview of the Jungle Room, a centerpiece of the club’s ongoing renovations. The self-contained space offers table seating, a stage, bar and DJ booth away from the now-larger main dance floor.

“The Other Show is at it’s core very conceptual, alternative, and avant-garde,” Cheezburger told Project Q Atlanta ahead of the Nov. 2 preview. “It is meant to be a very different type of show than what is currently available in Atlanta. We are pulling a lot of inspiration from San Francisco and New York. I highly encourage my girls to step out of their comfort box and try new and different things. You’ll see a very wide range of drag coming from the cast.”
