If you serve a gay supper club, fundraisers and even anti-gay politicians, why not a former president, too? Radial Café’s grub is good, but now it’s POTUS good.
The gay-owned restaurant tweeted with delight on Tuesday that not only was it dishing up some tasty creations for state Sen. Jason Carter’s fundraiser but that his grandfather was also noshing on the treats. Gramps would be former President Jimmy Carter.
Radial and its owner, Frank Bragg, pulled some pork with Gov. Nathan Deal last year, just months after the governor came out on top of one of the most anti-gay political campaigns in Georgia. It’s not like the restaurant hides its progressive leanings, what with Bragg channeling his inner Rachel Ray on TV, providing safe spaces for illegal immigrants and offering up a full menu of philanthropic efforts.
So it’s nice to see that the gay-friendly former president got to taste Radial’s goodness.
What an honor.Pres. Jimmy Carter eating our food tonight!Catering fundraiser for State Senator Jason Carter.
