It’s never just another Saturday night at Mary’s. In fact, it’s always extra rowdy up in East Atlanta’s little gay bar that could. Even on a week without a signature special event, the weekly Mary-oke is still legendary.
Leave it to Mary’s to keep karaoke cool. That’s right. When you’re one the best gay bars in the world, there’s something magic in the Koolaid even with karaoke. The infamous Mary-oke and its Diana Ross sound-alike emcee CJ are the secret ingredients. OK, that and cheap drinks.
Last week proved no exception. The weekly Dance Party with DJ Something Else lubricated everyone up just in time to tap the mic and the crazy. This week, don’t miss Mary’s weinerrific Sausage Fest with DJ Beardawg on Friday and ever more Dance Party on Saturday. Keep an eye out for Mary’s all-day party during the East Atlanta Strut on Sept. 15 as well.
