That’s the word from AIDS Alliance for Faith & Health, which released details Thursday about the scheduled appearances of Jeffrey S. Crowley (photo), director of the Office of National AIDS Policy and one of the administration’s highest-ranking openly gay appointees. Crowley will meet Tuesday with officials of AIDS Alliance for Faith & Health, Positive Impact and Open Hand, which share office space at 139 Ralph McGill Boulevard.

“We are honored that Mr. Crowley asked to visit the 139 Center,” Guy Pujol, executive director of the AIDS Alliance for Faith and Health, says in a prepared statement.

“AIDS services providers and public health officials from other major cities have toured the building before and have always been impressed with the intentional way we brought together an array of support services which complement and enhance one another. This multi-agency cooperation not only benefits clients but helps save money for the organizations; and, I think Mr. Crowley will be inspired by the model we have created here,” Pujol adds.

Crowley will be in Atlanta for the National HIV Prevention Conference, which takes place Aug. 23-26 at the Hyatt Regency and Marriott Marquis in downtown. He’s also taking part in a town hall meeting on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

The conference focuses on HIV prevention, from science to programs, and includes prevention experts and advocates from various backgrounds and communities nationwide.
