LGBTQ Atlanta celebrated the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. and saluted social justice activists at the 18th Annual Bayard Rustin-Audre Lorde Breakfast.

The annual event took place at the Loudermilk Center on Monday.

This year’s theme was “What Now: Where Will You Be?” It’s a reference to lesbian poet and activist Pat Parker’s poem “Where Will You Be?”

Following the breakfast, participants took part in the MLK Day March & Rally in downtown Atlanta.

Longtime LGBTQ and HIV activists Craig Washington (top photo, second from left) and Darlene Hudson launched the annual breakfast in 2002 as a way to remember the legacy of activist Bayard Rustin and poet Audre Lorde.
