Brendan Maclean gave hope for queer pop music fans everywhere at The Basement in East Atlanta Village on Saturday.
The out Australian singer (photo) made his much-anticipated Atlanta debut at the show. The city “popped his Southern cherry” as he put it in a recent interview with Q.
Local artists Chelsea Shag, Iv Fischer and Taylor Alxndr were also on the bill for the event, brought to you by the dance party people at Nonsense ATL and our queer media compatriots at Wussy.
Maclean celebrated a successful night on social media in the hours and days following the show, and even found time to give Q some love.
See you next time, Brendan!
People flew from the UK, drove from Indianapolis, hiked from New York, the queer community in Atlanta is not just surviving but thriving. Smashed it babes.— Brendan Maclean (@macleanbrendan) August 18, 2019
