The Atlanta Bucks prepped their rugby jocks for a new season on Saturday, teaching rookies the basics and freshening up the skills of their veterans.

The gay rugby squad held its twice-a-year Rugby 101 clinic at Boulevard Crossing Park. The drag competition and purple dresses come later.

But after the skills session on Saturday, the Bucks hosted a meet-and-greet beer bust at Woofs.

The squad opens its season on Sept. 17 with a match against North Atlanta Rugby Club. On Oct. 28, the Bucks host their popular Ruck-A-Buck tournament.
