Is the smoke really clearing in gay Atlanta’s bars? It seems that way with an announcement by My Sister’s Room on Thursday that they, too, are curtailing smoking in their East Atlanta lesbian bar.
Jungle started the recent trend last fall when they pushed smokers to the side of its new bar after a massive renovation at the dance club. Last week, Heretic delegated smokers to its Pub Bar and patio.
On Thursday, My Sister’s Room announced that it’s offering designated smoking areas on Wednesday, Thursdays and Saturdays. The smoking gets snuffed beginning March 16, just in time for the bar’s Get Lucky Glow Party for St. Patrick’s Day.
After months of feedback from customers and staff effective Saturday March 16th, My Sister’s Room will have designated smoking areas on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday nights!
Smoking will only be allowed on the patio deck and in the Twilight Lounge/ Pool room.
The red room where the dance floor, stage and main bar are located will be smoke free.
We want to be able to accommodate everyone and this is a start.
Again Sat March 16th this will go into effect!
Thank you My Sister’s Room staff.
The trio of bars joins Mixx and Cockpit in limiting smoking.
