Music and men take Joining Hearts into the night

Where’s a shirtless dancing queen to go as the sea of gays parts at Atlanta’s biggest charity pool bash? The afterparty, of course. And yea did the masses cast out of Piedmont Park trek across the Midtown desert to the promised land of a dance oasis at Jungle.

As was foretold by prophecy and bore out for the 27th time in a row, the Joining Hearts main event gathered its gays on Saturday for an all-evening throw-down to benefit AIDS housing. But with a succession of satellite events just waiting to join the party with a purpose, there was no time to stop.

Gay Israeli sex god and mix master DJ Aron, as well as vocalist Beth Anne Sacks, kept up the beats, hundreds of queens packed the place to keep up the party pace, and a good time was had by all.
