Montrose Softball jocks slide into new season

You know that winter is officially over when Montrose Softball League fields its freshly uniformed teams for the first time each year. Well, it’s time to say welcome back to Houston’s LGBT and allied Boys (and Girls) of Summer.

After a long winter’s nap and fresh off hosting a national tournament, gorgeous weather greeted MSL for Opening Day. A full slate of games hit Houston Sports Complex on Sunday to kick off the spring-summer season, but not before opening ceremonies that rallied all of the teams for dedications and shows of sportsmanship.

So get ready, gay Houston. Months of weekly matchups almost every Sunday at the complex are in store for you. Well, that and blowout parties. The league is off for Easter, then the host bar after the April 12 games is South Beach.
