Leave it to Mary’s, that East Atlanta bar with its irreverent take on gay nightlife, to thumb its nose at Valentine’s Day. So it did on Thursday with its biannual Goth Nite.
The bar added in dark music and a complimentary drink for anyone trading goth valentines to make “Goth Nite: St. Valentine’s Massacre” complete.
Thursday’s events kicked off a weekend of Valentine’s Day-themed events for Mary’s. There’s “Celebrate VD!” on Friday and Saturday’s “St. Valentine’s Day Dance.”
The events at Mary’s are part of a full schedule as gay Atlanta bites into Valentine’s Weekend.
