Mary’s ‘Boys’ let loose for swimsuit contest

You’ve seen some gay swimwear pageants in Atlanta that take themselves way too seriously. Mary’s annual Boys of Summer Swimsuit Contest is not one of them, and it's awesome.

We love East Atlanta’s gay boy bar for just that reason: It’s all about the fun. Patrons welcomed summer during Friday's beach-themed event, but few of them brought it in full force quite like the contestants in the dudes parade. Hairy hard-bodies, slick alternaqueers, guys next door, and at least one otter in a women’s one-piece let go their inhibitions to be equal-opportunity objectified.

The climax came after the Top 4 (photo) were chosen. They began an epic pose-off that you’ll just have to see to believe in the full gallery. The winner won a trophy, $100 cash and bragging rights through September.
