Mary’s blows out a 16 Candles birthday bash

Oh those Mary’s boys and their gay-for-days alternaqueer crowd. They really know how to do up a Friday on any given week. Make it their own anniversary, and it’s yet another party for the ages.

It’s been 16 years since the rocking little hole in the hall flung open its doors, and it’s still going strong. That was the occasion of Friday’s “16 Candles” party.

With visions of the ‘80s movie of the same name dancing in their heads, the owners tore up a perfectly good dress and awaited their Prince while everybody else welcomed DJ Headmaster, drink specials and a few surprises. It’s Mary’s, so you know a good time was had by all.
