Lost N Found's executive director camped out in a box truck all weekend to call attention to the plight of LGBT youth in Atlanta as part of the group's three-year anniversary celebration.
Rick Westbrook – as he did last year – bundled up inside the truck in the Ansley Square parking lot after the group briefed supporters at Hideaway on Friday, then held a candlelight vigil. The weekend also included a series of beer busts and a closing party with the Armorettes at Hideaway on Sunday.
To help support Lost N Found, gay Atlanta amputee Mark Sweatman launched a 140-mile trek across Atlanta on Saturday.
Late Sunday, the group thanked supporters as its anniversary celebrations wound to a close.
We have officially made it through our 48 Hour Vigil. Thank you to everyone who came out in support and donated financially and with items for the Thrift Store. A HUGE thank you to our army of volunteers who braves the cold to help in various capacities. We would not have been successful without your help. You are what make our organization great! Thank you, thank you!
