Supporters of Lost N Found Youth celebrated the non-profit that cares for homeless LGBT youth on Saturday as they raised bucks to support it.
The organization hosted its popular (and annual) Casino Night benefit on Saturday at its massive thrift store near Cheshire Bridge Road. That provided patrons with the chance to play casino games, nibble on tasty treats and shop the aisles and aisles of merchandise – all the while benefiting the bottom line of the agency.
The event on Saturday capped a roller coaster year for the non-profit. It won a $10,000 IKEA makeover in April, raised big bucks in June during the annual East Point Possums Show, fought through a board revolt in August and dramatically shifted gears in September when it abandoned plans to renovate a Midtown building into a new shelter. In September, Lost N Found also received the Guardian Angel Award from the Atlanta Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce.
