Oh, that Kathy Griffin.
She livened up an otherwise shaky performance with openly closeted Anderson Cooper on New Year’s Eve with an uncensored exchange with an apparent heckler outside the camera. As Cooper was taking the CNN show to a commercial shortly after midnight, she offered this with a shout:
“Shut up! You know, screw you! I’m working. Why don’t you get a job buddy! Ya know, I don’t go to your job and knock the dicks out of your mouth!”
CNN couldn’t get to commercial quick enough. But the exchange livened up what was a disappointing New Year’s Eve show with Griffin and Cooper that had trouble finding interesting banter and microphones that worked with their on-the-street reporters.
Prior to this gem, the most interesting moments of the two-hour show came with live shots from Key West with a drag queen named Sushi dangling in a large show waiting to be dropped at midnight.
