The art was elegant and graceful, the crowd was full and festive and the evening last Friday proved successful. Ah, another opening at gay-owned Kai Lin Art in Midtown.
This show — “GRACE | Lush. Ethereal. Color.” — includes the work of Mary Farmer, Anne Elser, Sun Hong and Drew Watts, who is the lone gay artist among the bunch. Think lots of pastels, abstracts, florals and landscapes fitting of the new spring season.
It was quite a departure from the gallery’s last opening, “Popstars & Cokeheads,” in January. That featured the work of artist Greg Mike and guests along the likes of songwriter and record producer Dallas Austin.
“Grace” runs through May 1.
