imageDJ Michael Tank came to Atlanta just to turn the tunes that rocked the free-wheeling Jungle crowd into the New Year on Friday night. The circuit sensation left no dance beat unturned to kick off 2011.

Drag hostess Phoenix–who takes her television bow as one of two Atlanta contestants on “RuPaul’s Drag Race 3” later this month–was on the stage as well as on the mic urging the crowd to let loose.

And let loose they did.

imageFree entry to the first 100 people through the door and a nominal cover charge until 10:30 p.m. meant that a sea of bodies thumped as one by midnight and into the wee hours.

It was just the first of two New Year’s Weekend celebrations for those insatiable Jungle patrons who always want more. After the Tank’d party on Friday, Jungle welcomed another dance party legend, DJ Eddie Baez, to the dance floor on Saturday night to continue the revelry.
