Oh bother. What’s a gay fundraising party crew to do between a hunky hairy kickoff dance, an all-day pool party, an after-hours set with a smokin’ gay DJ and a third-day T-Dance? Well, party of course.
The Ready 4 Hope gang of 10 friends-cum-hosts realized that they could raise AIDS Walk Atlanta money and create a new annual gay Atlanta three-day must at the same time. Smack in the middle of their five-event weekend, they never missed a beat on Saturday at Jungle. That’s where R4H teamed with local promoters Carioca to bring San Paulo stud Rodolfo Bravat to the DJ booth.
If you’re keeping score, that’s Heretic hunks on Friday, pool party on Saturday, Jungle that night, DJ Chad Jack all-nighter until sunrise, and a shirtless Sunday to tie a leather harness bow on it. Check, check and check. And a packed August bear-a-palooza. Check. Whew! Oh yeah. And a $20,000 AID Atlanta AIDS Walk check. Checkmate.
