Joining Hearts parties hard for summer spectacle

The ablicious charity pool party that is Joining Hearts unfolded on Saturday inside Piedmont Park, delivering a sold-out crowd for a night of music, cocktails revealing swimsuits and fireworks.

DJ Grind headlined after an opening set by DJ Deanne, only to be interrupted late in the evening by a special appearance from singer Debby Holiday. The dance hit diva loves some gay Atlanta boys.

The main event, this year called Dive, caps a fundraising season that packs some heft. Last year, Joining Hearts donated $195,000 to AID Atlanta, Jerusalem House and Living Room.

We teased you about how this would go down and showed you how the event's hunky attendees made it a hashtag success on Instagram. But how did we get to Saturday's summer swimsuit spectacle? A packed slate of events, including beer busts, a beach party, Change of Seasons,Love on the Rocks, Thanksgiving madness and a jog through the park with hundreds of sweaty jocks.

But Dive wasn't the only Joining Hearts fun to be had last weekend. DJ Joe Gauthreaux rocked the Heretic on Friday to kick things off and Jungle hosted an after party to keep the shirtless hunks dancing. DJ Mickey Friedmann also hosted an all-nighter for Xion on Saturday.
