What better way to recover from the beefcake parade that is Joining Hearts than to spend the day after the massive party with a purpose lounging in a decidedly low-key affair.

So, Joining Hearts – never one to miss a chance to develop another successful event – hosted its 1st Annual Day After Recovery Pool Party at a private residence in LaVista Park on Sunday. There were poolside hunks – just not in the same number as a day earlier – along with cocktails, noshes and music courtesy DJ Sean Mac.

imageOf course, the event also raised money for Joining Hearts, which takes the tally from its main event and others along the way, and donates it to Jerusalem House and AID Atlanta.

Last year’s tally of $125,000 helped pushed the non-profit’s giving to more than $1.15 million since its inception nearly 25 years ago.
