Join Project Q Atlanta on Friday, Oct. 9 for a special Q Conversations live event. We’re celebrating Pride with three people who have made LGBTQ history in Atlanta – Melissa Carter, Bubba D. Licious and Alex Wan.

Pride with Project Q kicks off virtually at 12:30 p.m. We’ll be talking with our guests about their historic roles, favorite Pride moments and how Atlanta Pride has changed during its 50-year history.

Carter was the first out host on Atlanta radio. Wan made history as the first gay man and Asian American elected to the Atlanta City Council. Bubba – the drag alter ego of Jim Marks – has been clutching her pearls and raising funds for charity for more than 30 years. All three have been honored as grand marshals of the Atlanta Pride parade.

Join us Friday for this special Pride with Project Q edition of Q Conversations. Register now. Once you do, let us know what questions you have for our guests on the event invite.

Can’t make it Friday? Go ahead and RSVP. You can watch a replay anytime. (The event is free but registration is required.)

This event is supported through a grant from Facebook Journalism Project’s COVID-19 Local News Relief Fund.
