Prep your tulle baggies of birdseed, y’all. A steady stream of couples will tie the knot in ceremonies large and small at the dock in Piedmont Park on Saturday and Sunday. Does that include Atlanta’s gay couples? Damn skippy it does.

“Say I Do in Piedmont Park” stages one wedding, commitment ceremony or vow renewal every 45 minutes on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. and again on Sunday, 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. Proceeds benefit Piedmont Park Conservancy, and two same-sex couples are currently on the schedule, says Jane Rollo, the conservancy’s “I Do” point person.

Interested couples grab a spoton the schedule for a minimum $600. Wait what? Yes, but besides helping keep the park maintained, the pricing also buys extras beyond the venue.

This exciting event is open to weddings, commitment ceremonies and vow renewals and will provide you with all the necessities to create a lifetime of memories for you, your family and friends. … Each couple will have up to 45 minutes to include a seated ceremony for 20 followed by a champagne toast for you and your guests. Piedmont Park Conservancy and a few of our exceptional preferred vendors will provide the following:

• Beautiful waterfront Dockside ceremony site

• Photography service (with option to purchase additional)
• White ceremony chairs (20)
• Ceremony music
• Wedding floral backdrop
• Choice of brides bouquet for duration of ceremony
• Wedding planner to assist with ceremony
• Champagne toast for you and your guests
