The Thursday night social scene is heating up once again. For that, the gay boys who cocktail gave thanks as they enjoyed the return of Hydrate to the W Atlanta – Midtown last night.

The popular event, which first surfaced last March, is back again with even more of the flair gay promoter Chris Coleman can deliver. Hydrate came about as part of SocialATL, a venture Coleman co-founded that debuted Social Tuesdays in September 2008. As that proved successful, the brand expanded to include Hydrate last spring. But when SocialATL dissolved, Hydrate did, too.

imageHydrate, though, returned on Thursday with drink specials and a runway session that featured the spring and summer fashions of Drew Lewis Boutique (second photo). Coleman promises special guests, W room giveaways, Bliss Spa giveaways and celebrity “stop bys” in the coming weeks.

Hydrate adds a signature event to a night that already delivers a host of options at local gay bars, in addition to Etcetera with DJ Vicki Powell @ Aurum and Papi’s Cafe Con Leche Latin Tribal House @ Heretic.
