Pride Houston officials unveiled a new logo, revised parade route and a slate of grand marshal nominees on Thursday as it begins the buildup to the annual rainbow festival in June.

With "Houston Proud" emblazoned across a new logo, Pride officials also released the list of parade grand marshal nominees during the event at Pearl Bar. They include Dena Gray and Juliet Katherine Stipeche (Ally); Brad Pritchett, Lou Weaver, Paul Guillory and Brad Odom-Harris (Male); and Lynette Ross, Melissa Vivanco and Fran Watson (Female).

Weaver was recently tapped by Equality Texas to coordinate its transgender programs and Watson, who was also nominated in 2015, was recently elected president of the Houston GLBT Political Caucus.

Like in past years, a public vote will select the winners in each of the three categories.

Also on Thursday, Pride Houston released details of a new route for the parade on June 25. The day-long festival and evening parade will remain in downtown Houston, with the parade starting at Lamar and Smith and stretching along Milam before ending at Jefferson.
