The ears are down, and the DJ beats have waned. All that’s left for Bunnies on the Bayou 2015 is to dole out the funds it raised during Houston’s signature gay Easter Sunday blowout and its fun lead-up events.

Organizers of the annual gay Easter romp through downtown gathered at Hughes Hangar on Sunday for check presentations to 15 beneficiaries. Giant replica notes went out to the tune of $121,000 this year, covering programs for worthy LGBT non-profits and arts organizations.

But this year’s beneficiary bash came on a bittersweet note. The event also served as a farewell party to Jack Berger, who leaves his position as president of Bunnies after this year.
