Help APD’s gay liaison kickstart a dream [video]

To protect and serve isn’t the only skill in Atlanta Police Department LGBT Liaison Brian Sharp’s toolbox. And it’s time to give back to the gay cop who sings so beautifully at AIDS Walk Atlanta and serenades us when he’s not keeping those mean streets a little safer. As one of the police department’s gay liaisons, Sharp appears in the APD’s “It Gets Better” video as well as its celebratory, if sober and prudish, Pride welcome. But lately, enthusiasm over Sharp’s remarkable singing voice has inspired a website, YouTube channel of songs and a big dream: his own album. On Monday, our favorite Officer Nice Guy launched a Kickstarter campaign to make that dream – an EP called “Against The Grain” – a reality. Watch his pitch above, then of course, go donate.
