It looks like trouble for one local pro, just another disappointment in the roller coaster ride he’s had since arriving in Atlanta last year.

By Friday morning, DiPietro was besting Harrington 100 to 48. Voting stays open until Sunday.

In Round 2 action in the Southeast Regional, another local pro – tennis player Robby Ginepri (left) – is leading New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady (right) 100 to 53. That kind of surprises me, given Brady’s metrosexual status and cult following among some gay spots fans. Ginepri and his hard abs defeated Braves slugger Jeff Francoeur for his place in Round 2.

Those two pairings are among eight in the current round of voting. Voting for the Sweet 16 begins on Monday. Let’s hope at least one of our local pros makes it to the next round. Each regional includes photos of the jocks. Go see and go vote!
