The competition keeps getting tougher.
Voting is open in Round 2 of the East and Midwest regionals of “King of the Hardwood,” the contest pitting the hottest jocks across the globe against one another and providing the photos to let you decide.
There are eight matches in this round and voting continues through tomorrow. With Major League Baseball opening this week, I’ll highlight two pairings that include pro baseball players: Huston Street (bottom photo) against Brady Quinn and David Wright (top photo) versus Lars Halvard Grimsrud.
Wright, of the New York Mets, has it a bit easier this round than Street, of the Oakland Athletics, who goes up against Brady, the young stud who quarterbacks for the Cleveland Browns.
On Wednesday, Round 2 of the West and Southeast regionals opens. There’s where Joey Harrington, the Falcons quarterback who topped diver Justin Wilcock by a 120 to 97 vote, faces Rick DiPietro, a goalie for the New York Islanders. The round also includes Ronny Ginepri, a pro tennis player who lives in Kennesaw, against NFL great Tom Brady. Ginepri beat out Jeff Francoeur in an earlier round of voting, no doubt luring fans with his rock hard abs. But against gay fav Brady, he’s up against some tough competition.
