‘Hardwood’ hits the finals

quinn_brady_blog.jpgThe prelims are over and it’s now time to get serious. The “King of the Hardwood” competition hit its stride over the weekend, offering up the finals. The format changes a bit from the eight round of preliminary voting and now mimics the setup and schedule of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament. “Hardwood” announced its brackets on Sunday, like the NCAA.

By the time it’s all over, you’ll have 62 chances to vote for hot jocks from across the globe. The competition takes the top eight from each of the eight preliminary rounds and pairs them up against one another for the finals.podolski_lukas_blog.jpg

Confused? Here’s what you need to know: Go to the “Hardwood” and vote. Check back on March 20 and 24, April 3, 7, 14 and 17 for additional rounds. The Final Four comes out April 14, with the championship three days later. These rounds include photos of the jocks unseen in the prelims.

Today, there are eight match ups:

Brady Quinn (top photo) versus Kelly Slater

Huston Street versus Tommy Haaswalker_andrew_blog.jpg

Lukas Podolski (middle photo) versus Michael Witt

Alexandre Despatie versus Andrew Walker (bottom photo)

Jose Maria Mazanares versus Pelle Rietveld

Kim-Idar Molnes versus Yoann Gourcuff

Brad Miller versus Wes Walker

Ben Cohen versus Barry Zito.
