At its annual fundraising fandango, the Atlanta chapter of the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation celebrated some local and national media heroes in its ongoing role as watchdog for LGBT media representations.

On the long special-guest list were bigger names like actors Fran Drescher, Wilson Cruz, Kat Graham and Ian Somerhalder, CBS anchor Itay Hod, as well as local mainstream media gay touchstones like Melissa Carter and Brandon Rudat.

A slew of fun guests (top photo) from fancied up gay men and lesbians to even fancier drag personalities enjoyed artwork and entertainment by aerialists, the Armorettes, plus calendar boys representing photographer and stylist Richie Arpino’s latest, “Blue Gene Boys.”
