Get your hands dirty as a Pride volunteer

imageFrom logistics to operations and hospitality, the Atlanta Pride Committee needs hundreds of volunteers to make the annual festival run smoothly. To help recruitment, organizers this week opened online registration for volunteers.

If you are at least 18, have some time to give — the application details dozens of four-hour shifts leading up to, during and after the event — and want to lend a hand, take a few minutes to register. (If you’re younger than 18, you can still help, too, but you can’t register online.)

Pride is set for Oct. 30 to Nov. 1 in Piedmont Park. Don’t worry — you’ll still have plenty of time to enjoy the festivities, drink, wear inappropriate clothes and take embarrassing photos to share on Facebook. So give back a little, too.
