The arrival of March in Atlanta means one thing for gay weekend warriors — the start of the spring sports season. And rain. But flag football enthusiasts missed that last weekend as they opened their new schedule.
The National Flag Football League of Atlanta last week kicked off its eight-team, multi-week schedule that stretches into late May. They opened March 20 with a round of pre-season games and then hit the athletic fields of Candler Park last Saturday for Week One action. That’s when the games, wins and losses, and stats start to count.
The league plays on Saturdays in the park, beginning at 9:45 a.m. and barring any rain, which already canned one week of its season. But hey, it’s spring. And it seems to happen every season.
If our photos of the on-the-field action aren’t enough to quench your thirst for gay jocks, check out their 2010 calendar.
