Ho, ho, ho. For those who celebrate, the big day is here. For everybody, it kicks off a long holigay weekend of local LGBT events with music, movies and merriment.
Friday, Dec. 25
Naughty Christmas Night. When your daily obligations are done, get with your gays for a Christmas Night party with boys, beats and booze @ F Bar, 10 p.m.
Movie Magic. So there’s an old joke that Chinese food and a movie is Jewish Christmas, because at one time they were literally the only things open on Dec. 25. True or not, Hollywood Studios caught on and now drop big releases on this day. Catch Oscar bait like the gay “Carol,” the star-packed “The Big Short” and “Joy,” or fun like “Daddy’s Home” and “Point Break” and more. Also still playing are “The Danish Girl,” “The Revenant,” “Sisters” and some little film about Wars and Stars.
Holi-gay Party. Many of your favorite gay bars and clubs are pouring today, but a few aren't. Check in with them online or by phone before you head out to find out if and what time they’re open.
