Gay Houston rodeo fans celebrate with ‘Roundup’

Gay Houston rodeo fans kicked things up a few notches at Neon Boots on Thursday to celebrate the opening of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo.

Out at the Rodeo hosted its first-ever Rodeo Roundup at the bar, an evening that included free dance lessons, a fashion show with raffle and, of course, rides on a mechanical bull. The event benefited AIDS Foundation Houston, which hosted its annual AIDS Walk on Sunday.

The event on Thursday warmed up LGBT rodeo fans for the big day – Saturday. That's when Out at the Rodeo went grassroots during a day at the rodeo, pulled on their red t-shirts and hosted several meet-ups.
