Gay Houston parties hard for Bunnies on the Bayou

Shirtless hunks, boys with bunny ears and gays in their best Easter bonnets flooded Fish Plaza on Sunday to party with a purpose and raise big bucks during Bunnies on the Bayou 36.

The afternoon of cocktailing craziness also included beats from gay Houston's own DJ Joe Ross and Special K, along with a waterfall performance from drag queen Chloe T. Crawford. Even “MasterChef” contestant Big Willie was on hand to enjoy the festivities.

The annual event at the Wortham Center raised funds to benefit 15 HIV, LGBT and arts agencies including AIDS Foundation Houston Camp Hope and Stone Soup, AssistHers, Bayou City Performing Arts, Bering Omega Hospice and Dental Clinic, Elsik High School GSA, Houston Pride Band, Lazarus House, Lesbian Health Initiative, Montrose Center Holiday Baskets, Montrose Grace Place, Out For Education, Pet Patrol and Thomas Street Patients Services.

After the five-hour outdoor party came to a close, there was more cocktailing to do. Hundreds of gay bunnies hopped to F Bar for the official after party. It was off the chain.
