Gay Houston (and Madonna) ready for Pride

The rainbow freight train that is Houston Pride can't be stopped. How do we know? Banners now hanging along Westheimer. And Madonna told us so.

The entertainers are in place for the festival on Saturday. So are the grand marshals for a parade with a new location that's still kicking up a bit of controversy. The events are already happening, including one in a big gay pool. And the symbolic gesture that Pride is here and proud? The banners now displayed in the gayborhood along Westheimer.

The street banners are up on Westheimer – it's definitely Pride Season! Thanks to those who sponsored a banner and kept this tradition alive.‪#‎heroesofpride‬

Everyone is ready for Houston Pride. Even Madonna, who posted a Facebook message about it on Sunday.
