Gay haters, Margaret Cho will scream tweet you

Some celebrities take a toned-down approach when advocating for gay rights. They mention “tolerance” and “equality” and “civil rights” in carefully crafted statements delicately covered in a warm blanket made of sunshine and rainbows. And then there’s Margaret Cho.

Which was her tweet Monday night that followed this one from minutes earlier:

Wouldn’t you just love to see that pop up on President Obama’s Twitter feed?

The bisexual comedian, actress and co-star of the Peachtree City-filmed “Drop Dead Diva” has long been a vocal proponent of gay rights. We’re not sure who pissed in Cho’s Wheaties last night — maybe Chris Broussard? — but we sure as hell enjoyed the rant that came along with it.

Nevertheless, keep an eye out for Cho around gay Atlanta and on the upcoming fifth season of “Drop Dead Diva,” which died in January before fan outcry helped resurrect it for Season 5.
