imageThe Atlanta Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce visited Atlanta’s past for its monthly Fourth Friday mixer on Sept. 24. Dozens gathered to network in the historic Margaret Mitchell House.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places and operated by the Atlanta History Center, the Margaret Mitchell House is a turn-of-the century, three-story, Tudor Revival building where the author wrote her Pulitzer-winning book “Gone With the Wind.”

imageCocktails and conversation for the gay business group centered in the locally famous residence-turned-museum’s reception hall, where guests learned a bit from the staff about the house and Mitchell’s life in its basement apartment while they noshed on goodies from Einstein’s.

AGLCC hosts business builder luncheons in various parts of metro Atlanta throughout the month as well as other social and business functions. A Kirkwood networking luncheon is scheduled for Oct. 12, and a business builder lunch in Vinings is set for Oct. 13.

The group’s next Fourth Friday mixer takes place Oct. 22 at the offices of Fenuxe magazine.
