Gay football jocks reveal new teams at Blake’s

Beyond a Super Bowl party, bar crawl, recruitment events and training days, actual flag football games really are coming to gay Atlanta. National Flag Football League of Atlanta is getting there one cocktail at a time.

The annual Team Reveal Party on Saturday at Blake’s introduced the players to their teams. It also gave everyone a chance to get to know each other before grabbing at each other’s flags this spring. This year boasts 118 players on 9 teams.

The social aspect of NFFLA just reinforces the league’s “Come out and play” slogan. So before Opening Day later this month, there’s a Midtown Bar Crawl on Sunday.

Once the season begins – it will, we swear! – each Saturday game day thereafter will feature, naturally, cocktails afterward.
