Gay designer turning Kandi into drag queen bride

Kandi Burruss is getting married, so of course “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star turns to the gays for help. But the designer crafting her gown is talking enough straps, lace, feathers and silk mesh to turn Burruss into a drag queen.

Burruss is Pride (and Blake's) fabulous. But what Reco Chapple has planed for her wedding gown might be even too much for her. He offered a glimpse into his designs on Sunday's premiere of “Kandi's Wedding,” the second RHOA spinoff to focus on a wedding. (NeNe Leakes leaned on her gays, too, in the first.)

“I know he's going to give me the look I want because I don't want anything traditional anyway,” Burruss says in the video clip above.

But Burruss is wary of Chapple creating another fashion don't to outdo his blue dress that had Burruss looking like Smurfette. Her handlers, including longtime creative director and now “bridesman” Kwame Waters, urge Burruss to flee Chapple's boutique when he takes a break to sketch. But she stays, he talks silk mesh and well, we'll see as the fast-paced wedding planning and gown design unfolds on the show.

Chapple is creating gowns for Burruss and eight bridesmaids in a matter of weeks. Let's hope he doesn't suffer another meltdown. Wedded bliss or drag queen realness? Stay tuned.
