The Atlanta Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce let its hair down on Friday to toast in the weekend with a Fourth Friday Networking event in Virginia Highland.

The gay business group networked and cocktailed at Vivid Hair Salon on Virginia Avenue, offering a redemption of sorts to the salon. The business hosted AGLCC last July, but a scorching summer day proved overwhelming for Vivid’s air conditioning. Even good hair can’t take heat like that.

But pleasant weather on Friday made for a festive event inside.

Last month, the gay chamber took its Fourth Friday to the recently expanded Rush Center on DeKalb Avenue. The group made use of the center’s event space, part of a 1,700-square-foot expansion that the venue completed after months of renovations.
