The Atlanta Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce isn’t the first group you think of when Rock & Roll comes up, but that didn’t stop their May networking event from rocking the Hard Rock Café.
The LGBT business group also didn’t let semantics get in the way of the fact that its regularly scheduled Fourth Friday Networking cocktail hour landed squarely on Memorial Weekend. They rocked around the clock and the calendar conflict by hosting “Third Friday” Networking instead on May 20.
For those about to rock, the change did little to hamper May’s incarnation of the group’s time to chat up contacts, collect business cards and engage in general TGIF merriment. With a cocktail hour set aside every single month, they ought to be pretty good at mingling like the pros they are.
February found them exploring the newly expanded Rush Center, networking with good hair at Vivid Hair salon swept up the event in March, and they got a room at the Artmore Hotel in April.
