A panel of gay and lesbian financial and human resources professionals provided tips and advice on navigating turbulent economic times last week during an event with the Atlanta Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce.

imageThe March 11 event was part of AGLCC’s WOW Wednesday series, a quarterly gathering that puts on display the talents of some of the chamber’s professional members as well as provides an informal networking environment. Panelists included Will Floyd of Large & Gilbert, Louis Gary of Ameriprise Financial, Renee Weese of Minerva Planning, Adam Rimes of IHR, Merceditas de Padua of Maggie Kulyk & Associates and Joe Fernandez of Prudential Financial.

AGLCC is preparing for a 4th Friday Networking next week that will stretch over two days. The event kicks off on March 26 (yes, that’s a Thursday) with a cocktail reception at the newly-renovated Granada Hotel in Midtown. After th 90-minute reception, the evening shifts to the High Museum for a showing of “The First Emperor: China’s Terracotta Army” with reduced ticket prices.

The two-day event continues on Friday with social networking at Table 1280 at the High.

Throughout the month, AGLCC members also host Business Builder Luncheons.
