Gay Atlanta scares up one hella Halloween

imageNeed proof that Halloween is the gayest holiday? While you’re final-fitting your Betty White, half-naked angel or Wonder Twins costume, try on our list of two-dozen themed LGBT events starting Thursday.

Well actually, the mayhem already started. Halloween is so hallowed that we already snapped the pics of this year’s Carnevale costume party for Jerusalem House last weekend. Before that, many revelers kept things gay two weeks ago at the Little Five Points Halloween Fest & Parade as well as Goth Night: Halloween Edition at Mary’s.

Some 25 events already on Project Q’s Thursday-through-Sunday Gay Agenda calendar include the words “Halloween” and/or “costume.” And a few of those aren’t even nightlife oriented.

If you want to check out “Vampire Lesbians of Sodom” fundraising performances on Friday and Saturday with two shows on Sunday at OnStage Atlanta; a kid-friendly Halloween party with MEGA Family Project on Saturday; a Halloween Bash with the Susi French Connection at Eddie’s Attic on Saturday; or even a Halloween Hike with Women’s Outdoor Network on Sunday, just click the links.

imageBut let’s focus on the parties. No fewer than 20 events carry a Hallow’s Eve theme this year. All of them encourage costumes, most of them include contests, and many offer big cash and prizes.

We’ve chosen a selection of the biggest bashes to list below. Click your preferred hotspot or party promoter to find out more. And yes, there are more. Chances are your regular hangout is decorating and celebrating this weekend, and we’ll add others to our daily Gay Agenda calendar as plans solidify.
