Gay Atlanta ruggers seek ‘good times’ on Grindr

Add this share

Looking for some athletic friends for a little play and good times? So are the rugby jocks of the Atlanta Bucks, who want to "hang out" with you. On Grindr.

And by hang out, these gays mean meeting up in snug shorts and tight jerseys for scrums, ball backs, counter rucks and hand offs. Not really the sort of festish the cruising app's athletic supporters have in mind. But with the Bucks hosting its Fall Rugby 101 on Aug. 10, why not go for a little viral marketing.

No Rugby experience is necessary, we teach you everything. Rugby takes players of all sizes, we need big men and fast fellas to play a good hard-fought match.

And after you score your first try in a match, you get to strip down and run around naked at the third half social. It's tradition. Nekkid!

If a Cowtippers waiter can ply his meat -- and that of his employer -- on Grindr, why not the Bucks? It's a fresh approach and Grindr can certainly use that. But aren't the Bucks more Scruff than Grindr?
